There is so much value to be gained from having a personal brand photo shoot done for your business. Brand photos are a key component to creating those deep connections with your audience that grow your brand, increase sales and expand your marketing options.
Even though the importance of personal branding is high, especially with so much marketing being online these days, a lot of business owners (probably like yourself) don’t take this leap to have them done. Why? The reason is simple: maybe you just don’t know much about brand photography and it seems out of reach or overwhelming.
That’s ok! That is why I put together this list of frequently asked questions that I get from businesses and clients alike, about what brand photos are and the process of having a photo shoot. I hope this helps to answer some of your questions!
Why is personal brand photography so important?
When you have a personal brand photoshoot done, the results are professional and unique- to- YOU images that tell your brand story - who you are, what you offer, how you do what you do, etc. When you incorporate these photos into your marketing, they’ll help educate your audience on your service or product, let them get to know you, increase your brand’s credibility, and the super important “Know, Like, and Trust” factor!
Plus- you have SO MUCH content for your marketing and posts that will last you for quite a while!
What’s the process?
When you book a photo shoot with me, the process is super simple and I’ll be there every step of the way. First, we will hop on a pre-session consultation to get to know each other a bit and discuss your ideas as well as ask all of the questions you may have. Let’s demystify this shall we?!
Then, after you submit the Branding Questionnaire, we will meet for the Planning Session and discuss your goals for the shoot, stories (theme’s), vibe, location, clothing, props, key shots and all of the fun details.
Finally, on The Big Day of your brand photo shoot, we’ll use the itinerary, stories and vision to make your one of a kind images! A few weeks later, you’ll have your brand photos in hand and you can start using them in your marketing. See? Easy peasy!
What should I wear?
What you wear really depends on how many stories you plan to tell during your photoshoot (work process, hobbies, personal side, etc.). Don’t worry though, I’ll help with this part too! Ans, I can even recommend a personal stylist if you want to really hit it out of the park with your threads!
Do I have to do my own hair and makeup?
Some of my clients already have their own preferred hair and makeup stylists, but if you would like a recommendation, I am happy to connect you with the artists I work with! Getting your hair and makeup done professionally is recommended so that you look and feel your best on shoot day. You’re making an investment in your business (and yourself!) with your brand photos, so be sure to get the most out of your photoshoot!
Also- since you’re all dolled up, go on a date night afterwards!
What should I bring with me to the photo shoot?
There’s always the typical props - laptop, phone, notebook/pen, branded products, tools of your trade, etc. I can help you come up with some props that are specific to your brand, stories and vibe for the photo shoot.
Where will the photo shoot take place?
We will pick the perfect location during the Planning Session! This could be your office, an outdoor location, public space or a rental space (think AirBnB). We’ll find a location that will make the perfect backdrop!
How long will the photo shoot last?
The length of the photoshoot will depend on which package you choose, and are typically a half day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours).
How much does it cost?
I have several packages available, as well as payment plans! During our initial call, we’ll determine which package meets your needs.
When do I get my photos?
Within a few weeks after the photoshoot, you’ll have a personal gallery full of beautiful, professional brand photos to pick from so you can get to marketing your business in a whole new light!
If you’re ready to take your business and your brand to a new level, I’d love to talk with you about how personal brand photography can help you to do just that.
